The Fourth Watch

A Community Oracle Clinic
A Temporary Field Hospital for Meaning-Making

The Fourth Watch is a seasonal Community Oracle Clinic that brings together an interdisciplinary crew of compassionate practitioners to offer accessible support during times of transition, uncertainty, healing, reinvention, and meaningful life change.

Our crew includes counselors, educators, artists, therapists, movement practitioners, herbalists, nutritionists, medical professionals, spiritual guides, ceremonialists, and wisdom keepers who offer one-to-one sessions rooted in deep listening, embodied practice, cultural humility, and the belief that no one should have to navigate life’s turbulent waters alone.

Rather than offering one way of seeing the world, The Fourth Watch honors many ways of knowing. Whether someone seeks practical guidance, emotional support, creative exploration, spiritual companionship, health and wellness perspectives, or simply a compassionate witness, our hope is that each person finds the practitioner whose medicine resonates most deeply with their journey.

The Fourth Watch operates as a seasonal pop-up initiative rooted in accessibility, reciprocity, and community care. Through our sliding-scale model and the support of the Harbor Fund, we strive to make meaningful guidance available to people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

The Fourth Watch is one expression of The Fourth Guard, where the principles of Sacred Witnessing are put into practice in service of the community.

For Turbulent Waters, We Keep the Lantern Lit.

OUR LANGUAGE

Every community has words that carry more than their literal meaning.

At The Fourth Watch, we call our one-on-one conversations Pláticas.

A Plática is a heart-centered conversation. Rooted in many Latin American traditions of thoughtful dialogue, a Plática is often shared over a warm cup of café, chocolate, or té, where stories are welcomed, questions are explored, and wisdom emerges through genuine relationship.

Unlike many clinical environments, a Plática welcomes lived experience and the art of storytelling as medicine. It honors the understanding that healing often unfolds through informal conversation, memory, metaphor, laughter, silence, and the simple recognition that none of us walks this road alone.

Each practitioner brings their own unique gifts while sharing a common commitment to compassion, thoughtful dialogue, and respectful accompaniment. Some are licensed clinicians. Others are artists, educators, healers, or longtime community guides. During a plática, they meet you first and foremost as another human being.

Whether you’re seeking perspective, encouragement, a witness, or simply a place to rest for a while, we invite you to pull up a chair.

The kettle is on.
